1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains what information iNEARTial (the "Service"), operated by [Company Legal Name] ("we", "us", "our"), collects, why, and who else ever sees it. It applies to anyone who creates an account or profile on the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). If you sign in with Google or Facebook instead, we store the identifier and email address that provider gives us.
- Profile information — a display name, an optional colour and gender (used only to choose which body diagram to show you), and your preferred units (kg/lb, cm/in, km/mi).
- Training data — the workouts and exercises you create, the sets you log (weight, reps, distance, time, as applicable), session history, and your training schedule.
- Body measurement data — if you choose to use the measurements tracker, this includes body weight and any circumference measurements (e.g. chest, waist, thigh) you enter. This is sensitive personal data in many jurisdictions; it's entirely optional and only stored if you use that feature.
- Technical and usage information — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated as part of operating the Service securely.
3. How we use this information
- To provide the Service — creating your account, saving your training data, and displaying it back to you across devices.
- To communicate with you — account verification, password resets, and important service notices.
- To maintain security — detecting and preventing abuse, unauthorized access, and fraud.
- To improve the Service — understanding how features are used in aggregate. We don't use your individual training or body measurement data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
4. AI-assisted features
If you use an optional AI-assisted feature (such as generating a training program), the information you enter for that specific request — your stated goals, session preferences, and the equipment/exercise names already in your library — is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude), our third-party AI provider, to generate a response. A brief, derived summary of your recent training (your session count over the last 30 days, schedule adherence, which movement patterns you haven't trained, and the names of exercises where you recently set a personal record) is also included, so the generated program can account for what you've already been doing. Your account credentials, detailed session logs, and body measurement data are never included. See the in-app description of each AI feature for exactly what it sends.
None of this is Google user data: Nothing from Google Sign-In or our Google Calendar integration (Section 5) is ever sent to any AI — consistent with Google's Limited Use requirements, which forbid using data from Google APIs to train or improve any AI/ML model.
5. Google Calendar integration
If you choose to connect Google Calendar (an optional feature,
off by default, turned on from Account Settings), we request
Google's calendar.events permission to push your
scheduled workouts — the workout name, date, and time slot — onto
your own primary Google Calendar as ordinary calendar events.
This is one-way only: the Service never reads, imports, or looks at anything already on your Google Calendar, and Google Calendar data is never used for advertising or shared with anyone besides Google (as the calendar provider) and you. You can disconnect this at any time from Account Settings, or by revoking the Service's access directly from your Google Account's own permissions page, which stops any further events from being created.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only where necessary to run the Service:
- Hosting and database providers, to store your data;
- A transactional email provider, to send verification and password-reset emails;
- OAuth sign-in providers (Google, Facebook), only if you choose to sign in that way;
- Google Calendar, only if you choose to connect it, and only to create the events described in Section 5;
- Anthropic, our AI provider, only for the specific AI-assisted features described in Section 4, and only when you use them;
- Law enforcement or regulators, if we're legally required to disclose information.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a profile, it's kept in a recoverable state for a short window (see the in-app confirmation for the current period — currently 30 days) in case you want it back, after which it and everything logged under it is permanently deleted. If you delete your entire account, all associated profiles and data are removed following the same process.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
9. Your rights and choices
- Access and export — you can export your full training history as a CSV file at any time from within the app.
- Correction — you can edit or correct your account, profile, and training data directly in the app at any time.
- Deletion — you can delete a profile (with a recovery window, see Section 7) or your entire account from Account Settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example, GDPR in the EU/UK or CCPA in California), including the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us using the details in Section 12 to exercise these rights.
10. Children's privacy
The Service isn't directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone under [16]. We don't knowingly collect information from children under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before it takes effect.
12. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests relating to your data, can be sent to contact@ineartial.com.
